Clinical Nutrition Team

Recognising the significance of the patient’s good nutritional condition, both before and during oncological treatment, a Clinical Nutrition Team, consisting of 5 dieticians, functions as part of the Oncology Centre. The dietitians take care of, first of all, the assessment of patients’ nutritional condition and cooperation in planning and monitoring individual nutritional therapy.

As part of comprehensive care during oncological treatment, patients of the Oncology Centre can use the care of a nutritionist at the Polyclinic’s Nutrition Clinic. In particular, such care should be provided to patients with unintentional weight loss, reduced appetite, difficulties in consuming fluids and meals.

Appointments are made based on a referral from a doctor of the Oncology Centre, registration at the Polyclinic or via the Call Centre. Due to the extensive activity of the Nutrition Team and the implementation of procedures related to clinical nutrition, in June 2021, the Oncology Centre received the Certificate for Hospitals of Good Clinical Nutrition Practice – Treatment by Nutrition
